(FLORENCE TOWNSHIP) – A Sturgis woman was injured in a two vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department says at approximately 3 PM Wednesday, a 58 year old Sturgis woman was driving her pickup south on Lutz Road near Dickinson Road. An SUV was heading west on Dickinson Road, and being driven by a 27 year old Three Rivers man. Deputies determined the SUV failed to stop at the intersection and struck the pick up.
The Sturgis woman was flown by West Michigan Air Care to a regional hospital to be evaluated and treated for her injuries. The driver of the SUV was not injured, but was given a citation for disobeying a stop sign.
Assisting deputies were the White Pigeon Fire and Police Departments, the Constantine Police Department and Life Care Ambulance.
