(UNDATED) – The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department is investigating two separate thefts.
Deputies were called to investigate a stolen vehicle in the 23,00 block of Angevine Road in Mendon Township on July 19. Taken was a 2004 Chevy Silverado, extended cab long bed pick up. It has a license plate of EDC 4110.
The truck was taken between 8 PM on July 18 and 7 AM July 19.
On Friday, deputies responded to the area of Stears Road near Constantine Road at 8 AM for a report of stolen property. Several spools of copper wire were stolen from the property between 7 PM on Thursday and 7 AM Friday.
Sheriff's Department officials want to remind the public that these types of incidents are on the rise. Make sure you lock your vehicles, and do not leave valuables or keys in your vehicle. You should also secure all items of value.
