(LAGRANGE) – An employee of the LaGrange County Economic Development Corporation has been elevated to a new position.
Sherri Johnston, a three year employee has been promoted to President and CEO of the LaGrange County EDC. She will begin her new position January 1. Johnston succeeds Bill Bradley, who is retiring at the end of 2021.
Born and raised in LaGrange County, Johnston has a diverse business background with experience in manufacturing, distribution, transportation, energy infrastructure, entrepreneurship, and nonprofit endeavors. Johnston says she is honored and excited for the opportunity to lead Economic Development efforts here in LaGrange County. She says she is looking forward to incorporating new initiatives for the EDC well as continuing the positive momentum of economic development success for years to come.
A Prairie Heights graduate, Johnston holds a B.S. in Accounting from Marian University. Johnston serves on the LaGrange Food & Clothes Basket Board of Directors and the LaGrange County Fair Association, volunteers for Junior Achievement, Lakeland’s DECA Advisory Board and is a member of the Mongo Lions Club. She also serves Springfield Township as the Trustee.
EDC Board Chair Mark Eagleson says the Board of Directors is thrilled for Sherri for this well-deserved promotion. He says Johnston has been integral to the EDC's success for the past 3 years and will provide experienced leadership going forward.
