(FREMONT) – A arrest has been made in connection with a shooting incident in August that took the life of an Angola man.
Indiana State Police say they arrested 18 year old Octavian Linsky of Fremont Tuesday morning, on a charge of reckless homicide. The arrest warrant was issued by Steuben County Superior Court. Linsky is being held in the Steuben County Jail without bond until his initial court appearance.
At 9:30 PM August 31, Indiana State Police, the Fremont Police and Steuben County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to a house in the 100 block of Baum Street in Fremont to investigate a 911 call of a person suffering from a gun shot. Officers say 18 year old Caiden Hulliberger of Angola was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation determined that Hulliberger and Linsky were handling a shotgun inside the residence. The weapon discharged and Hulliberger was shot.
The case is still under investigation.
