(BRONSON) – It was a great turnout for the inaugural Strike Zone Singles tournament, hosted by the Sturgis bowling team. In the girls portion of the tournament, Lydia Boland of Sturgis finished second. She fell to Idalia Hernandez of Bronson in the match play finals 187-155. Coldwater's Lily Cook beats Kaelynn Smith of Niles in the consolation finals 165-135. In the boys tournament, Trenton Phillips of Niles beat Chance Cook of Coldwater 222-195 in the championship match. Burr Oak's Ethan Lindsey beat Preston Sharpe of Niles 185-174 in the consolation match. Drake Harker of Sturgis finished fifth while teammates Owen Brewer and Blake Adamski finished seventh and eighth respectively.
