(ALBION) – Several candidates have filed in Noble County to run in the 2022 elections.
According to the Noble County Clerk's Office, Incumbent Noble County Commissioner Dave Dolezal has filed for the District 1 Commission seat. In addition, Noble County Councilwoman Bernie Lawson has filed her papers to run again for the newly redistricted District 1. Lawson could potentially run against incumbent Tom Janes, who has indicated he would run for office again.
Noble County Sheriff Max Weber has filed to seek a second term in office.
A couple of county officer holders are running for different positions. Noble County Treasurer Shelley Mawhorter has filed to run for the County Auditor seat. Current Noble County Auditor Tonya Jones has announced she is running for County Recorder.
Filing to run for the District 2 Noble County Council seat is Trey Forbes.
Noble County Circuit Court Judge Michael Kramer has filed his paperwork to seek another six year term on the bench.
February 4 is the last day to file for the 2022 Primary Election, which will be Tuesday, May 3.
