(STURGIS) – The City of Sturgis hasn't decided how to use their ARPA funds.
During last Wednesday's Sturgis City Commission meeting, City Manager Mike Hughes shared that he needed to file paperwork on the money Sturgis received under the American Rescue Plan Act. The City was given $1,141,368.58 from ARPA's Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds Program.
The program is intended to provide support to State, territorial, local and Tribal governments in responding to the economic and public health impacts of COVID-19. It's also supposed to help those entities efforts to contain impacts on their communities, residents and businesses.
Hughes says so far, no decision has been made on how to spend this money. LINKC.
