(CENTREVILLE) – Glen Oaks Community College has hired a new Vice President of Academics.
The school announced that Dr. Adam Cloutier is the new Vice President of Academics, effective July 1. Cloutier is currently Dean of Arts and Sciences at Lakeland Community College where he has worked since 2018.
Prior to his work at Lakeland, Cloutier held various academic related positions from 2006 to 2018 at Henry Ford College including Director of Academic Affairs, and Director of Teaching and Learning Services. Before that he taught a wide range of math courses.
Cloutier has a Doctorate in Community College Leadership from Ferris State University, a Master’s and Bachelor’s in mathematics from Michigan State University and an Associate of Science from Delta College.
Cloutier says he has had wonderful and worthwhile experiences and has worked with excellent people at both Henry Ford and Lakeland. He says it will truly be an honor to serve Glen Oaks Community College and push the boundaries of the academy to provide the schools' students, business partners and community with the best academic experiences possible.
Dr. Christine Hammond, retired president of Mid Michigan College, has served as the interim VP of Academics since the resignation of Dr. Michael Goldin last fall. She will continue in this role through the end of June.
