(UNDATED) – Incumbent U.S. Congressman Tim Walberg will get the chance to run to represent the newly created 5th District.
Walberg, who currently represent the 7th District in the U.S. House of Representatives, won the Republican nomination for the 5th District seat. Walberg beat Sherry O’Donnell 65,306 to 31,977.
Walberg will face Democrat Bart Goldberg in the November General Election. Goldberg ran unopposed for the Democratic nomination, and received 38,454 votes.
