(STURGIS) – Sturgis Public Schools are doing well financially.
During Monday’s work session, the Sturgis Board of Education was presented with the audit report for the 2021-2022 school year. Matt Kelly of Plante Moran presented the audit and shared that the School District received a clean, unmodified opinion, which is the highest they can give.
Kelly talked about the General Fund, which is the major operating fund for the school district. LINKC.
The biggest part of the budget goes for salaries, wages and benefits of District employees.
