(CENTREVILLE) – The St. Joseph County Road Commission has approved the construction of a new storage barn, replacing one that is 40 years old.
During their recent meeting, the Road Commission voted in favor of the building of a new cold storage barn at a cost of $668,309. James Ware Construction was awarded the bid for the new structure, which would be a 90 foot by 150 foot steel storage barn. It will be put up in 2023.
This new structure will house seasonal equipment when it is not in use. It will replace the current storage barn, which is 40 foot by 40 foot.
The cost of the project is less than the original quote, which was $677,600.
