(THREE RIVERS) – The final seat on the Three Rivers Board of Education has be filled.
Following the certification of the November 8 General Election by the St. Joseph County Board of Canvassers, incumbent Board member Nichole Cover was re-elected to a partial, two year term.
Cover was one of three official write in candidates in the November election. The others were former Three Rivers School Board member Anne Riopel and Jack Coleman, a former candidate for the Michigan House Of Representatives.
Cover received 125 write in votes to win re-election. Coleman received 90 votes and Riopel received 36.
Cover was appointed to the Three Rivers Board of Education in October 2021. With her win in the General Election, Cover will be up for re-election in November 2024.
