(ANGOLA) – The search will begin soon for a new varsity girls basketball coach for Angola High School. According to officials with the MSD of Steuben County, Nick Burlingame resigned on February 10. No details have been shared from the School District as to why Burlingame stepped down. Burlingame served as the Lakeland boys varsity coach from the 2017-2018 season until the 2019-2020 season. He then left to become the girls varsity basketball coach at his alma mater, Angola. In November 2021, an investigation was conducted into the Angola girls basketball program. At that time, two assistant coaches voluntarily resigned, and the season moved forward.
