LAGRANGE, IN - A LaGrange woman has died of injuries sustained in a crash that happened last Wednesday, on March 8th.
Barbara Ebert, age 87, died at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne on Sunday.
Ebert was injured in a March 8th crash that took place at around 3:45 p.m. in the 800 block of south Detroit Street in LaGrange.
Authorities say LaGrange County Deputy Brian Emelander and his K9 partner were traveling northbound on Detroit Street approaching the Dollar General Store when a Buick driven by Lillian Jagoda, age 80 of LaGrange, turned out of the parking lot into Emelander's path.
Emelander hit the driver's side of the Buick and ran off the road, hitting a tree.
Ebert was a passenger in the Buick.
Ebert, Jagoda, and Emelander were all taken to Parkview Hospital.
The K9 Officer in Emelander’s patrol car was taken to a vet.
