(STURGIS) – The discussion about urban chickens in Sturgis will be brought up again.
During a recent Sturgis City Commission meeting, Vice Mayor Aaron Miller shared that he and Mayor Jeff Mullins had been contacted by a citizen about the matter. LINKC.
The Commission did discuss the issue of urban chickens in 2013 and again in 2021.
Miller says he did reach out to Sturgis Planning Commission Chairman John Mikulenas for some information. LINKD.
The Commission agreed to have Community Development Director Will Prichard attend their March 22 meeting and give some background on the matter.
