(MASON TOWNSHIP) – A three vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Cass County claimed the life of one of the drivers.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says 58 year old Timothy Waudby of Elkhart was driving west on U.S. 12 near Kensington Road at 5:30 AM. Investigators say Waudby crossed the center line and crashed into oncoming traffic in the eastbound lane, striking a Jeep and a pick up truck.
Waudby was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Jeep, 56 year old Wayne Ondresky of Niles had minor injuries. The pick up driver, 45 year old Joshua Kronewitter of Niles also had minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital.
Investigators say everyone was wearing their safety belts. The crash is still under investigation.
