(PORTAGE) – The season came to an end for the Sturgis girls tennis team, as they finished ninth at their Division 2 Regional meet with 3 points at Portage Central High School. Gracie Perry made it to the semifinals at Fourth Singles where she lost to eventual State Champion Sienna Watts of Mattawan. Rylee Carver at First Singles, Emily Schuller at Second Singles and Tess Scheske at Third Singles all advanced to the quarterfinals of their flights before being defeated. In addition, the First Doubles team of Madison Golden and Johanna Royakkers and the Third Doubles team of Bella Currier and Rosa Soto both advanced to the quarterfinals of their flights.
