(LAGRANGE) – The LaGrange County Community Foundation has announced the 2023 nominees for the 14th annual Heart of Gold Award.
The Heart of Gold Award honors everyday LaGrange County residents who go above and beyond and embrace the call to volunteer service. The Community Foundation received 10 nominations for the award.
The 2023 nominees are: Alexis Grossman of Wolcottville; Alice Bremer of LaGrange; Amy Whited of LaGrange; Heather Evenson of Howe; John Schmidt of LaGrange; Keith James of Howe; Kevin Myers of LaGrange; Mike Brudney of LaGrange; Randy Merrifield of LaGrange; and Samantha Davis-Kania of LaGrange.
In selecting the award recipient, the Award Committee considers nominees who share their time for the sake of others, render a service that changes lives, work to create positive change, and inspire others to volunteer.
The winner will be announced during the Annual Celebration, set for Monday, June 12 at the Farmstead Inn and Conference Center in Shipshewana. The program starts at 6 PM.
