
(CASSOPOLIS) – Authorities say they have found the body of a missing Grand Rapids man.
Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke (ben-KEY) says at 8 PM Monday, deputies along with approximately 60 volunteers located the body of 76 year old Johnny Bolden, who was dead. Bolden was found in a heavily wooded area, about one mile from where his car was found in Pokagon Township.
Bolden was reported missing and endangered from Grand Rapids on May 30. He suffered from Dementia and other health problems. Behnke says on Sunday, deputies located Bolden’s vehicle.
Assisting with the search for Bolden were the Pokagon Township Fire Department, Dowagiac Fire Department, Indian Lake Fire Department, Sister Lakes Fire Department, Central Cass Fire Department, Howard Township Fire Department, Edwardsburg Fire Department, Penn Township Fire Department, Newberg Fire Department, Porter Township (SEPSA) Fire Department, Michigan State Police 5th District Major Support Unit, Cass County Office of Emergency Management, Pride Care Ambulance, Pokagon Tribal Police, Michigan Professional Search & Rescue, Memorial Med Flight, and West Michigan Air Care.
This incident remains under investigation.
