(MASON TOWNSHIP) – A weekend accident injured two people.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says a 56 year old Jones woman was driving east on U.S. 12 near Union Road in Mason Township just after 8 PM Saturday and suffered a medical issue. Her car went off the road and crashed into a building.

The woman and her passenger, a 56 year old Jones man, were both taken to an area hospital to be treated for minor injuries. No one was in the building at the time of the incident.

Assisting at the scene were the Porter Township Fire Department, the Porter Township EMS and the Elkhart City Fire Department Structural Support Units.
