
No. 7 Mendon beats Athens 65-12
(ATHENS) – Mendon went on the road and the No. 7 Hornets beat Athens 65-12 in Southern Michigan 8 Man Football League West Division action. The Hornets rushed for 348 yards in the game, led by Jack McCaw who had 8 carries for 117 yards and 2 TD’s. McCaw also returned a fumble 75 yards for a touchdown, and was 2 of 3 for 53 yards and a touchdown. Owen Gorham rushed 5 times for 56 yards. He had a 49 yard TD reception and returned an interception 69 yards for a score. JT Lux also had 2 touchdowns. Dylan Cupp had 8 tackles for the Mendon defense. Nic Stiver had 7 tackles. Mendon is now 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the Division.
