Coldwater drops home game against Hastings 52-7
(COLDWATER) – It was a tough night for the host Coldwater football team as the Cardinals fell to defending league champion Hastings 52-7 in Interstate 8 play. The lone Cardinal touchdown came on a one yard TD pass from Zach Coffing to Kendall Austin. Coffman was 5 of 9 for 88 yards. He entered the game when starter Dracyn Foster had to leave after being injured. Foster was 1 of 5 for 12 yards. Dayton Ennis had 3 receptions for 54 yards. Hasting ran for 480 yards and had 528 yards of total offense. Haiden Simmet had 4 touchdowns, all in the first half, for the Saxons. Coldwater is now 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the Interstate 8. Hastings is 2-2 and 1-0 in the conference standings.
