(UNDATED) – A police chase landed a man in jail.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle near Front Street and Halfway Road in Burr Oak on Sunday. The driver refused to stop and led deputies on a pursuit, that finally ended near the intersection of Lakeview Avenue and Lafayette Street in Sturgis.
A 21 year old man for Bourbonnais, Illinois was arrested without incident on charges of fleeing and eluding and for carrying a concealed weapon.
The Sturgis Department of Public Safety assisted deputies with the pursuit.
