(FABIUS TOWNSHIP) – A teen is dead after being struck by a vehicle.
St. Joseph County Undersheriff Jason Bingaman says deputies were sent to U.S. 131 near Broadway Road in Fabius Township just before 10:30 PM Monday for a car vs pedestrian accident.
Deputies determined that a 16 year old Three Rivers girl had been struck by a vehicle and succumbed to her injuries. Her name has not been released, pending notification of her family. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
Assisting deputies were the Three Rivers Police and Fire Departments, the Fabius Park Fire Department and St. Joseph County Victim Services.
