(LAGRANGE) – An arrest has been made following an investigation into an
incident at the LaGrange County Jail.
Indiana State Police say they were contacted October 23 by LaGrange County Sheriff Tracy Harker, who was requesting an investigation of an alleged sexual battery that happened between an inmate and a confinement officer.
An Indiana State Police Detective investigated the complaint. In mid-November the investigation was completed and the report was submitted to LaGrange County Prosecutor Travis Glick for review and determination if any criminal charges should be filed.
On November 30, subsequent to prosecutorial review, an arrest warrant was issued for LaGrange County Confinement Officer, 21 year old Jaden Boyd of LaGrange, for sexual misconduct with a service provider, which is a level 5 felony in Indiana.
Boyd was taken into custody at his residence and transported to the Steuben County Jail until his initial court appearance.
