(STURGIS) – Sturgis led after the first quarter 15-10, but the rest of the game belonged to visiting Paw Paw as they beat the host Trojans 59-36 in Sturgis’ season, home and Wolverine Conference opener. A change in the Red Wolves’ defense was the key to their victory. Grady Miller struck for 15 points to lead Sturgis, with 11 points coming in the first quarter. Carson Eicher added 11 points and Tanner Hickey had 5 points. Truman Brennan led the Red Wolves and all scorers with a game high 19 points. Adyn Roth added 16 points in the win. Sturgis is 0-1 overall and in the Wolverine Conference. Paw Paw improves to 1-1 and 1-0 in the conference.
