(THREE RIVERS) - Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County is going to be hosting an open house for their latest building project.
The Open House will be at 422 West Street in Three Rivers on February 13th from 11 AM to 1 PM. There will be a special presentation at 12 PM. The open house will highlight the unique partnership between Habitat for Humanity and local Career and Technical Education (CTE) students.
In a remarkable collaboration, CTE students alongside their instructors have dedicated countless hours and effort to bring this project to fruition. Their hands-on involvement in the construction of the home has not only provided them with practical experience but also an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to their community.
Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Nick Metzger says this project is a testament to what can be achieved when we come together. The hard work and dedication of the CTE students and instructors have been instrumental in making a deserving family’s dream a reality.
The open house event will offer attendees a chance to tour the new home, meet the family who will soon call it their own, and interact with the CTE students and Habitat for Humanity staff.
Jim Berry, Director of Career and Technical Education (CTE) at the St. Joseph County ISD, says he is thrilled that the CTE Consortium has a partnership with Habitat for Humanity, which brings affordable housing to the area and also improves the lives of others.
