(NILES) – The Sturgis girls basketball team jumped out to a big lead and held on to beat host Niles 43-29 in Wolverine Conference action. Head coach Jeremy Bucklin says his team played a very physical game and responded in a big way. Rylee Carver led the way for the Lady Trojans with 14 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Angela Cary added 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Sydney Bir had 8 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Sturgis is now 7-9 overall and 4-6 in the Wolverine Conference.
