(WAYNE TOWNSHIP) – A one vehicle crash claimed the life of the driver.
Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke says at 7:40 AM Saturday, 72 year old Doren Preston was driving east on Dutch Settlement Road near Nubour Street in Wayne Township, when his vehicle left the road and struck a tree. Preston was pronounced dead at the scene.
Assisting deputies at the scene were the Dowagiac Police Department, the Wayne Fire Department and the Southwestern Michigan Community Ambulance Service.
The crash is still under investigation.
