(PENN TOWNSHIP) – One person was injured in a two vehicle crash in Southwest Michigan.
Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke says deputies responded to a two vehicle crash at 4:38 PM Tuesday on White Temple Road, south of Dutch Settlement Road in Penn Township.
Fifty-five year old Harvey Lee Terry of Lawton, Michigan was driving north on White Temple Road when he crossed the centerline, striking a southbound vehicle, driven by 27 year old Gage Eby of Elkhart.
Terry was trapped in his truck and had to be removed by first responders. He was then taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo to be treated for non life threatening injuries. Eby was treated at the scene.
Speed appears to be a factor in the crash. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
The Penn Township Fire Department and the SMCAS Ambulance Service assisted deputies at the scene.
