(ELKHART COUNTY) – Authorities have identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office says the driver of the motorcycle is 20 year old Kaiden Ruff. The incident happened just after 4 PM Wednesday at the intersection of County Road 17 and State Road 119.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Ruff was riding his motorcycle and ran the red light at the intersection, and was hit by a vehicle. Ruff was thrown off if his motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet.

Ruff’s motorcycle went through the intersection and hit another vehicle.

The driver of the automobile that struck Ruff was taken to Goshen General Hospital to be treated for non life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle struck by the motorcycle was not injured.
