(DEKALB COUNTY) – Minor injuries were reported when a Fort Wayne man tried avoid an animal in the road.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, 39 year old Javon Bynum was driving west in the 4800 block of State Road 8 at 1:45 PM Tuesday when an animal ran into the roadway. Bynum says because of traffic in the eastbound lanes, he swerved off the road to miss the animal.
Bynum says he over corrected to get back on the road, which caused him to loss control of the automobile. It spun 180 degrees and came to rest on the north side of the ditch, facing east.
Bynum suffered a head injury and an injury to his left hand. He was treated at the scene by Parkview EMS.
The Butler Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
