(STURGIS) – A special proclamation was given to a Sturgis man for his many years of giving back to his hometown.
Wednesday night, the Sturgis City Commission presented the proclamation to Eric Eishen, citing not only his professional accomplishments, but more specifically how he became involved with many aspects of Sturgis over the years.
Vice Mayor Aaron Miller shared with the audience that Eishen never looked to be in the spotlight but simply wanted to give back to the community he grew up in and worked in.
Eishen explains where his love for getting involved and giving back came from. LINKC.
After graduating from Sturgis High School, Eishen earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State University. He returned home and went to work for his father at Sturgis Bank. He rose through the ranks to eventually become President and CEO of Sturgis Bank, Inc.
Eishen retired January 12, 2024, but still is active in helping Sturgis.
