(STURGIS) – City contractors are scheduled to begin sanitary sewer work next week.
City officials say the work is being done on North Nottawa Street, starting September 3. This project will cause North Nottawa to be closed at all traffic from Main Street to Hatch Street for approximately three week.
During this same time, the Department of Public Services will be replacing water main valves on North Nottawa between Chicago Road and Hatch Street. Travel will periodically be impacted in this area while work is being completed. The water repairs will also necessitate brief shutoff periods for water customers in this area. Public Services will be contacting those impacted directly.
Detours will be in place during this time. Please follow the detours or seek an alternate route. Also, please use caution while traveling in this area.
As always, construction timelines are dependent on weather, contractor progress and other factors.
Citizen patience during these projects is greatly appreciated.
