(LAINGSBURG) – The Bronson volleyball team was in action at the Laingsburg Invitational and finished second on the day. In pool play, the Lady Vikings split with Byron Center and Saginaw Valley Lutheran. Then in bracket play, Bronson beat Olivet and Ionia before losing in the finals to Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart. Bronson coach Jean LaClair says her team grew by leaps and bounds over the weekend, especially working with a new lineup. Aleah Brackett had 75 assists, 22 kills, 36 digs and 5 aces for Bronson. Payton Springstead added 51 kills, 34 digs and 4 aces while Jaiden Hayes had 10 kills, 9 digs and 4 aces. Aubree Calloway added 27 kills, 40 digs and 9 blocks.
