(VICKSBURG) – A suspect has been arrested following a weekend incident in Vicksburg that turned deadly.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office says at 10:30 PM Sunday, Kalamazoo County Dispatch received a call of a person being shot at 760 East VW Avenue. Deputies arrived at the scene, along with the Vicksburg and Schoolcraft Police Departments and the Michigan State Police.
The investigation determined that a confrontation took place between neighbors. The suspect allegedly shot the victim during the encounter. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect was taken into custody and is being held in the Kalamazoo County Jail. The matter remains under investigation.
