(INDIANAPOLIS) – With the exception of two counties, unemployment was down around Northeast Indiana in the month of September.
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development says LaGrange had a drop in their unemployment, going from 3.6% in August to 3.3% in September.
Noble County also went down from 4.5% to 4.4% over the month. Steuben County remained at 3.6%, DeKalb County saw a slight increase from 3.9% to 4%, while Elkhart County dropped from 4.7% to 4.6%.
The City of Elkhart had a drop in their unemployment from 6.1% to 5.9%. Goshen remained at 4.7% while Fort Wayne went 4.4% to 4.3% from August to September.
