(PORTER TOWNSHIP) – A two vehicle crash in Cass County’s Porter Township injured one person.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was called out at 4:30 PM Friday to the intersection of U.S. 12 and Vera Drive for a crash. Investigators determined that 53 year old Kathy Lee of White Pigeon was traveling east on U.S. 12 and attempted an improper U-Turn. 35 year old Jonathon Lipko of Sturgis was also driving east on U.S. 12 and struck Lee’s vehicle and she was making the U-Turn.
Lee was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital to be treated for her injuries. Both drivers were wearing their safety belts at the time of the crash.
The Porter Township Fire Department, along with the Edwardsburg and SEPSA Ambulance Services assisted at the scene.
