(PORTAGE) – Some area boys teams and individuals are moving on to the Division 3 Cross County State Finals following their placing at the Regional meet at Portage West Middle School. In the boys race, Union City finished third and qualifies as a team for the State Finals. Schoolcraft was fourth, Constantine fifth and Centreville was seventh. Individually, Ben Gautsche of Union City was second (16:42). Dante Pillot of Schoolcraft finished eighth (17:06), while Alessandro Avila of Constantine was 12th (17:14) and Will Hulin of Centreville was 16th (17:28). Pillot, Avila and Hulin all advance to the State Finals as individuals.
