Sturgis girls top Portage Northern 44-37
(PORTAGE) – It was a successful road trip for the Sturgis girls basketball team as the Lady Trojans traveled to Portage Northern and beat the Lady Huskies 44-37. Coach Andy Phillips says his team’s defense and anticipation won them the game. Madison Webb led Sturgis with 23 points. Sydney Bir added 8 points while Kenzie Eicher and Cora Phillips each had 4 points. Sturgis improves to 3-2 on the season.
