(INDIANAPOLIS) – Indiana communities can now apply for matching funds from the State for local road and bridge projects.
The Indiana Department of Transportation is now accepting applications for the Spring 2025 call for projects for the Community Crossings Matching Grant Programs.
Community Crossings Grants are available to cities, towns and counties in Indiana. Cities and towns with a population of fewer than 10,000 that are chosen will receive funds using a 75-25 match, while those with a population of greater than 10,000 that are selected will get funds using a 50-50 match.
Counties in Indiana with a population of less than 50,000 that are selected will receive funds using a 75-25 match, while counties that are picked with a population of over 50,000 will get funds using a 50-50 match.
Since 2016, Indiana has awarded over $1.83 billion in matching funds to support local road and bridge projects across the State. Long term funding for Community Crossings is part of House Enrolled Act 1002, passed by the Indiana legislature in 2017.
All application materials must be submitted by Friday, January 31 at 5 PM to be considered. To find out more information, you can go to the Indiana Department of Transportation website and look for the Community Crossings page.
Communities receiving awards will be notified in the Spring.
