
(STURGIS) – The Sturgis Department of Public Safety is asking for the public’s help in finding the suspect that attempted to rob a business.
Deputy Director Jeff Case says on January 14 at 6:45 PM, the Police Division was dispatched to the 700 block of South Centreville Road on a report of an armed robbery.
Officers responded to the scene and were advised that a white male suspect, wearing a mask and armed with a knife had attempted to rob the clerk. The suspect left before officers arrived. No cash was taken and no one was injured in the incident.
The suspect left the area in an SUV.
