(VOLINIA TOWNSHIP) – One person was injured in a two vehicle crash in Cass County’s Volinia Township.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was called out at 12:37 PM Thursday to the area of Decatur Road and Dewey Lake Street.
The investigation showed that a vehicle driven by 48 year old Lisa Keech of Allegan was traveling north on Decatur Road. Her vehicle crossed the centerline into the southbound lane of traffic crashing into a vehicle driven by 48 year old Dennis Eitler, of South Bend.
Eitler was transported by EMS to Corewell Health Lakeland St. Joseph Hospital for non-life threatening injuries sustained from the traffic crash.
Assisting agencies on scene were SMCAS Ambulance and Dowagiac Fire Department, and Wayne Township Fire Department.
The crash is still under investigation.
