(CENTREVILLE) – A long time artist and art educator is receiving a special honor.
Glen Oaks Community College is pleased to announce the induction of Sally Baldwin into the Glen Oaks Art Hall Of Fame.
In celebration of her achievements, Baldwin’s solo exhibition, reINspired: The Artwork of Sally Baldwin, will be on display from March 17 through 27 in the Flora Kirsch Beck Gallery at Glen Oaks. The community is invited to attend the opening reception on Tuesday, March 25, from 4 to 6 PM.
Baldwin, a lifelong advocate for the arts and arts education, holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Art Education from Western Michigan University. She has dedicated over four decades to teaching art, including 10 years at Lakeland School Corporation and 30 years at Sturgis Public Schools. Additionally, she taught Art for the Elementary Teacher at Glen Oaks Community College, inspiring future educators to integrate creativity into their classrooms.
Baldwin’s artistic work continues to gain recognition, with recent exhibitions including: 2024 Hoosier Women Artists, Indiana Lieutenant Governor’s Office & Indiana Arts Commission; 2025 Glen Arbor Center for the Arts, “Walking” Exhibition; 2025 LaGrange INspired Project, LaGrange County Arts and 2025 Carnegie Center for the Arts Regional Juried Arts Competition.
Baldwin is an active member of Open Door Gallery in Sturgis, where she continues to create and exhibit her work.
