(STURGIS) – One person is dead following a care versus pedestrian accident.
The Sturgis Department of Public Safety says at 9 PM Monday they were called to the area of South Centreville Road and Forest Street on the report of a car versus pedestrian accident.
Fire Division personnel took the victim to the Sturgis Hospital Emergency Room, where they were later pronounced dead after extensive life saving efforts.
The Police Division stayed on scene to conduct their investigation. They were assisted by the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Team.
The incident is still under investigation.
