(LAGRANGE) – Plans to bring a Dairy Queen Restaurant back to LaGrange are moving forward.
Monday night the LaGrange Town Council was presented with a sight plan for the proposed new Dairy Queen. The location for the new restaurant would be on the northeast corner of State Road 9 and State Road 20.
Town Manager Mark Eagleson explains that the developers and the LaGrange Redevelopment Commission Board are asking for the parcels to be rezoned. LINKC.
In addition to that parcel, there is another parcel of land just to the east that would also need to be rezoned. The Town Council was in favor of the project and the proposed rezoning.
On Tuesday, the rezone request was discussed by the LaGrange County Plan Commission. Project Developer Todd Haidous shared that this land is needed for the restaurant. LINKD.
Eagleson also spoke, sharing that the Town of LaGrange and the LaGrange RDC is in favor of the rezone and of this project.
The Plan Commission voted unanimously to send a favorable recommendation to rezone the property to the County Commission for their consideration.
