(STURGIS) – Sturgis Public Schools will continue to provide business services for Colon Community Schools for at least two more years.
During Monday’s Sturgis Board of Education Study Session, Finance Director Ray Sterling announced that Superintendent Dr. Art Ebert signed a new two year agreement for Sturgis to provide business services for Colon. LINKC.
Sterling says Colon Schools pays Sturgis Schools for this service. The cost for the 2025-2026 school year will be 2% more than this current school year, and then an additional 2% for the 2026-2027 school year.
Sterling says if the agreement continues after the 2026-2027 school year, the cost for services would either be 2% or the cost of inflation, whichever is greater.
