(HOWARD TOWNSHIP) – Authorities say 220 animals were found in a home in Southwest Michigan.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says Animal Control Officers served a search warrant at 9:30 AM Wednesday at a home on Lilac Avenue in Howard Township. They found dogs, ducks, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, doves, frogs, gerbils, fish, a crawfish and a snapping turtle at the residence.
Authorities say all the animals were taken to a safe location and provided with any necessary medical treatment and care.
The suspect’s name is being withheld pending charges.
