(ANGOLA) – A member of the Steuben County Prosecutor’s Office is looking to run for the top seat.
Tracy (Beechy) Quinn, a lifelong Steuben County resident and current Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, announced Friday the formation of an exploratory committee as she prepares her run for the Republican nomination for Steuben County Prosecutor in the 2026 election.
The announcement follows the news that current Prosecutor Travis Musser will be a candidate for Steuben County Superior Court Judge in the same election cycle, creating an open seat for the county’s top law enforcement officer.
In a media release, Quinn says Steuben County is in her heart and has been her home for many years. She was born and raised in Angola and brought up her son here as well.
Quinn says she has dedicated her career to the law and public service, and believes her deep roots in the community, combined with her extensive and diverse legal experience, make her uniquely qualified to serve as the next Steuben County Prosecutor. Quinn says she is committed to keeping the community safe and ensuring that justice is administered fairly and effectively for everyone.
A 1986 graduate of Angola High School, Quinn has built a distinguished legal career of more than 25 years. In her current role as Deputy Prosecutor, she works alongside Prosecutor Musser and his team to prosecute crimes and protect the residents of Steuben County.
Quinn joins Stephanie Hamilton who announced in August was also forming an exploratory committee to look at running for Steuben County Prosecutor.
