Fire Destroys Jonesville House - Family Safe

(JONESVILLE, MI) - Firefighters from several departments spent hours last night battling a large house fire along U.S. 12 in Jonesville. The fire was reported just before 7 p.m. The West Chicago Street street home was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived. A Jonesville Police Officer was reportedly first on the scene and rescued at least one person from the burning home. Authorities said all other occupants were able to get out safely. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
